Thanks, Bob.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens to our plants next week. Karen says her temps will be in the 30s. My temps are in the low 90s this week. They will drop to the mid 60s Sunday and Monday and then back up into the 80s.

Smiles,
Lyn

Around here it is 60's for highs and the 40's for lows, with a decent amount of rain coming up. I just hope no nights below freezing pop up.The Heuchera will deal with the lower temps no problem not so sure about the others.

I think we are done with the 60s and won't have any more rain until fall. Night temps are still in the 40s.

My climate is so different than yours, that I am amazed that these plants have made it.

When I went shopping down the mountain, yesterday, I checked for heucheras in two places and they didn't have anything. My guess is that it is simply too hot down there during the summer, so they don't carry heucheras in stock.

I guess it's mail order for me.

Smiles,
Lyn

Good to see more plants coming around. I feel bad for mine. It went from a high of 98 a couple weeks ago to a low of 38 the same week. Then pounding rain and winds and now it suppose to freeze tonight.

Hit 30 here a few nights ago, but looks good for the next 10 days, so I've moved all my containers outside again. Hope that's the last of the cold, but not holding my breath the way things have been this year. Think I only lost a couple coleus and an Angelonia.

I had to move a number of my heucheras last month to make room for a new deer fence. Happily the weather cooperated ( cooler and wetter August than usual) and everything did fine.
Some are outside the fence and some are in. I guess the deer will nibble on those that are outside this winter. They didn't bother them this summer, as they had so much more to choose from.
Some of these were newly planted in the spring from Santa Rosa gardens. I was very pleased with their heucheras.

A large tree was taken down late last winter which meant the heuchera got more sun this summer, but they did fine overall. A few of the chartreuse varieties burned a bit, but the entire group did well overall. Some heuchera are in the shade area below.
