Last night before bed time Prissy went out in the yard and never came back....I am heartbroken. She is the second dog in a year that I am sure I lost to a coyote. No more dogs for me as long as I live out here in the boonies!! Jo

Of course I have a fenced yard...but it's not 10 ft high...and coyotes can jump that high. Jo

JO, I'm so very sorry. This is too much to bear. My heart just sank when I saw your subject line. Many condolences from me and my Spirt 'Bert' (always with me) .... maybe now you have Prissy and Tess with you, too. Never say never. You may fall in love again. I know I hope to! Take good care and solace knowing you were able to care for her as long as you did.

Jo, one of my friends who has two little dogs and lives more in the desert had a dog run built that has a top to it. There is a little shade part over the wire but mostly it's to keep critters OUT. Works like a charm.
