This is a native I grow. Its flowers are large and gracefully wafting: Hibiscus splendens. Self seeds excellently. I have just potted 8 for a plant sale to raise money for our island library.

They are producing excellent cultivars from it now.

The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.
