We had a nice 3-4" layer , and then it melted this past weekend, then maybe 2" today. I always hope for a good 4-6" early in the season to help insulate the perennials. When it melts I get nervous. Usually here, once its down we don't see the lawn until late April.

Good luck on getting your digging completed.

Geof, sounds like us. No snow cover here either but also no snow that has melted saturating the ground.
