I grow just a few Hibiscus, but saw this one...
Does anyone grow it ? Wondering just how temperamental it might be and is it REALLY that color ?

I don't think it's really that color .. I took the liberty of removing the obvious blue cast. Here is what it would look like in normal light - original picture on left adjusted, right:

Very nice. I'll have to keep that one in mind.
I garden for the pollinators.

I have bought hosta that looked very blue in seller's pictures, and wondered what the heck I was doing wrong when they were in my gardens! I found out that I just didn't have a good enough camera! It's amazing what you can do with a digital camera...and editing programs.

I am looking forward to my seedlings from last fall to bloom this year. I received some seed from Richard (French Polynesia) of a few crosses. Never know what you get, but that will be the treat.
A lot of fun growing these.
Will show pics when they bloom.

It is amazing the color fixing that is done. Have learned what to look for with my Adeniums.

I look forward to see those! I've never grown a H. rosa-sinensis from seed .. I keep trying to cross pollinate my Tropicals but never have any luck.

Digital cameras are notorious for not correctly 'seeing' blues and purples .. even the high end ones .. and then there are the people that deliberately enhance saturation for deeper, richer colors .. that's quite common on Ebay I've found.

Here is a link to a post on another thread in Vines and Climbers where I've posted a few tips and tricks to help out the disabled cameras:

Thanks for the tip. I'll try the bracket setting and see if I can figure it out!
