Your yard is stunning Margaret! What is the tall plant toward the back, to the left of the bench? The flowers look like delphinium, but the foliage doesn't look like the ones I've seen. It's gorgeous!

Natalie, it is Delphinium, I have no idea which cultivar as it was here when we bought the place almost 13 years ago, it's a hardy one for sure.

Thanks Margaret! I'll see if I can find that one! I had some blue ones at our last house, but they weren't as dark as these. I need these!

I didn't have much luck with delphiniums when I tried them years ago. Maybe I should try again

I think everyone should grow them! They are so pretty! The ones I planted at my last house were almost 8 feet tall. Loved them!

My tall ones were the Pacific Giants. They got taller than I expected! Here is a photo before they got as tall as they normally did.

Natalie, I grew some of those too, they were so tall I had to move them and they died, didn't like the new spot.

I heard that they don't like being moved, and these were already a few years old when I moved, so I decided to leave them behind. I can easily get replacements, so I'll do that the next time I'm in Utah.
