Black Elephant Ear? in the Plant ID forum - Garden.org

Is this what is called a Black Elephant Ear? It is very small right now, last year it was about the size of a small caladium. Found it growing by the branch in very boggy conditions.

My first guess would be Colocasia esculenta 'Illustris.

It will be interesting to watch the growth of the plant this year. Four feet, that is a long way to go from where it is now. Thanks.
