I'm am so excited for the plants I'm getting this fall! Every year I order some new ones and give others away. This year I lurked early on the Auction because there are different cultivars that are offered early rather than later. Boy, I hope next year is a wonderful bloom season!! Here's what's coming:

Barbara Mandrell
Dragonfly Tattoo
Velvet Throne
Can't Touch This
Free the Night (beautiful!!)
Mia Bella of Gascone
Ruffled Pink Perfection
Rossen's Tiara
Buddy's Victoria
Bodacious Blues
Gray-crowned Crane
Apple Blossom White

So excited! The two Luddy lavenders ( Bodacious and Gray-crowned) were inexpensive enough that I can take a chance on them--they are SEV's. I was having problems with delivery dates for one order, so a long-time friend offered to pick up and keep the potted plants until I can put them in the boxes (probably early in November). She will send them then. OMG, that's exactly what I needed! Stress went away, and now the excitement is building!! Please, weather, please cool off!!

This year I ordered some of Judy Davisson's new intros from her and a few off the LA, thought I was done in spring. Then recently some folks on ATP were giving their opinions on near whites so now Scandinavia and Isabelle Rose are on their way. Plus AHS region 4 was listing their offers on the LA saw one Greywoods Fancy Filly that is also on it way to my garden. That will be all for this year but you all know that there is always next year and who knows what will grab my attention. Whistling

Jan,
Does Coffee House do well for you so far? How does it open? Interesting color on that one.

This is it's second year, it was a gift plant.

Last winter and the previous year I thought it died out with our winters, and in 2013 it came back and popped up a single scape. This year I had several scapes, but the color was off until the later flowers. But, due to the frigid winter and cool wet spring, it is not the only one of my daylilies with their color off, it took some several blooms to come into their own.

When it blooms true, it looks exactly like the photos, and when that happens it is my favorite brownish daylily. It has never hung up for me.

I would plant it in a sheltered spot and give it a little TLC. But I have not regretted having it since it was initially free, and now was a BOGO and worked as a gift plant for me. I think it is one that needs time to settle in. ~Jan

PS - I will see if I have any photos of it and post later

Jan, we had a similar experience with Coffee House. We got it fall before last (mid September) and had blooms last summer (2013.) Then we had a consistently very cold winter this past winter, and it returned as only a single fan this year. We do plan to order more later this week as time permits to place an order (unless it gets sold out due to my procrastination). I agree that it may need a protected spot, especially in the colder zones.

Oh Avedon, that sounds like a nice group!

As I was going through last years and this years photos of Coffee House, I guess it has hung up on occasion.

The color was definitely richer last year. It also bloomed two weeks later this year.

I have ordered several this year. I am adding more purples and reds to improve the entirely too pink and peach daylily beds. I am sure there will be more.

Anna, how far back may I go?
I started buying in January; actually, I never did stop buying since last summer. I just slowed down.
