Yes, right on both counts. It's a typo and incorrect usage... It should be Origanum dictamnus, and Dittany of Crete is a common name, not a cultivar name.

I have tried to submit a correction, but the correct entry also exists, so I can't submit it. Could you please move the photo to the correct entry and delete this incorrect one?

Thanks for catching the typo. I took a photo of the botanical name, as written on the tag, in Zilker Botanical Garden's herb garden.

By the way, Lori, I never received your "summons." For future reference, the use of @ followed by the member name doesn't work if it's added in an edit. It has to be included in an original post.
