my plumie gets morning sun for about 4 hours...nothing more.
Except when I left it in the sun for 2 days straight and 2 of the leaves burned up.

I understand ya, Dete. I think most flowering plants need at least 6 hours of sunlight to send out blooms. Shade plants would be in another category.

Angry Thumbs down bummer. Well, maybe this is not their year to flower....it's so blasted hot and the sun is so strong....I'd need to create an afternoon shade cloth or something.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm

they can still come. i just prefer to err on the side of too much sun, so i at least know that is not the reason for them not blooming. the 3rd pic in my link up above is a full sun plumie - sunrise to about 4p.

D, why did the two leaves on mine sunburn so badly? They are in a pot but I keep them moist.

Probably because you moved them from the shade to the sun, not allowing them to adjust to such intense light.

Now might be the time to come and pick up that umbrella stand that I've been holding for you for how long now? ;)

You could place the plant so it gets morning sun then afternoon shade, and then gradually move it to where it is getting full sun.

Not to "OT" too drastically...
I love See's dark chocolate covered coconut with Starbuck's Caramel syrup squirted on top.
... with a shot of Jasmine Dragon's Pearls tea.
Think I'll fix myself one right now
