@zuzu I am unable to see either Bloodgood or Fireglow on the list and when I type them in it refuses to take them and tells me to find them.
I have been trying and I know the links you sent me work but I can not get them to show me so it takes them. Any suggestions? I tried everything I could think of. My lists do not have either of them when showing me plants to choose my plants.

I typed 'acer bloodgood 'and 'acer fireglow' in the search and they both came up.

Maybe you're typing too much into the search box, or maybe you're still spelling them as two words instead of one. Here's what I get when I search for acer bloodgood:

And here's the result for acer fireglow:

Or you can search for just acer, click on "Click here to view all plants in the genus: acer," and then click on the letters at the top to find them alphabetically:

When in doubt if a name is combined or two words, I usually just type in the first part, Acer blood, which in this case popped up two choices, one being what JB was looking for, and the other a similar tree I never knew existed (and so, learned something new today).

I was putting in some conifers and J. maples this morning and figured they were probably all in the database, but had to do some creative searching to find them, sometimes only searching for the cultivar name, or Acer plus just the first few letters of the cultivar - there can be numerous spelling variations of the same name.

I was typing Japanese Maple (Acer Palmatum 'Bloodgood')
that is the way it is listed as I saw it. I will try the short way and see if it works.

That's too many words, Jacquie. Too much trouble and too many opportunities to misspell some part of the name. Smiling

But searching for exactly that does work, even though, as zuzu says, more words are greater chances for error:

Holy Cow, I would have been here all night trying to find out which word to use. It worked but I would have never thought of using Acer bloodgood. Thanks again everyone.
