if you're tired of the re-runs and have 15 minutes to waste... check out the garden tour on Show Us your Gardens forum. This past weekend, Linda (Smockette) came to visit, and we went on the tour between rain showers. It was a Hoot! We didn't see a 1/4 of 'em, but we did see some crazy ones!

'Notice the two fences? The new neighbor was "welcomed" by having all the doll heads turned toward her backyard. The next day she added a privacy fence. I can't imagine living next to this, but it was fun to see....once!

I don't know that I'd call that "art"....

Well, this one was rather funky, but there were others that were really well done. Soooooo....''Different strokes for different folks''...."beauty is in the eyes of the beholder''....."one man's trash is another's.....'' etc, etc

Definitely an Austin thing. Have you ever heard of Felder Rushing? He gives a lecture showing "yard art"...but it is nothing compared to this!
How come I can't find the original tour?

I'm originally a Mississippi gal, so I do know of Felder Rushing!
Don't know why you cna't find tour. Maybe they didn't post it. We found out thru the newspaper.

I mean in Cubits. I did look through it once, but now I can't find it...maybe my settings are not right.
