Betty, is Pikes Peak nice and tall for you? I just planted it and I am hoping this will be my first quite tall bloom.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

Oh! Sweeeeet! I wonder if the pollen parent is Tet. Kaleidoscopic Intrigue as I don't find an AHS entry for Kaleidoscope Intrigue? I'm always on the look-out for road-tested parent plants closer to starter-garden prices. :D

Thanks Char! I'm really impressed with it. As you know, the sun here can kick the stuffing out of almost anything but Better By Design holds it's color from morning until night & I love the "substance" of the blooms.

Blooming today in my garden:
Rained late yesterday and last night, but still I think the blooms look pretty good.
Champagne Elegance:
Two different blooms on different plants, they look the same color in real life, but different in the photos.

Aurantica?: Thought this was also Fulva, till I was reading the online book review thread, then noticed how much different this actually looked, so now I think it is Aurantica? This plant is planted in my bog bed with several Fulvas and it really stands out as being much less orange or more reddish in real life.
