Hardy Fuchsias in the Garden

By midnight21

Hardy fuchsias should be planted in the garden during June, if possible, so that they can get a good root system before the cold weather. If they are not planted until July, they should be growing in at least 5-inch pots before they are planted out.

Nice tip. I had them in the ground out West but here I can only have the hardy ones. I occasionally buy a fuchsia basket to treat as an annual for the summer. I have a long iron hanger in one of the maple trees and I was just trying to decide what to put in it this year. I do believe it's time for another fuchsia with its lovely color and form. Thanks for reminding me. Thumbs up
I garden for the pollinators.
