Kathy, A Heucherella is a cross between a Heuchera & a Tiarella.

Carolyn, I live on an acre and have a third of an acre of beds. I had over 200 Heuchs. Don't know how many I have now, maybe 160.

Here's a good source for the nematodes and other beneficial bugs.

Kathy, I think you're right on the last two unless the middle one is Pink Gem. I'm not familiar with the first one.

Kathy, I used to have Dayglow Pink - loved it, such cheery pink flowers and they bloomed for a long time! I've had rotten luck with both Stoplight and Sunspot but Alabama Sunrise has done much better. It looks pretty green in the photo but this was taken in July shortly after planting. In the spring the foliage is much brighter and really shines in the garden. I'm anxious to try Golden Zebra this year! http://davesgarden.com/communi...

No, I don't have pink gem, I'm pretty possitive it's day glow pink. I'll check today, it's not too covered in snow LOL

I got the golden zebra last year. HOpe it does well for me

I don't know. It didn't look like it was growing too well here.

RCN, I'm surprised to hear that. Those have grown well here. I've have much fewer losses among the Tiarellas, except that finicky Heronswood Mist.

I would appreciate your thoughts... I think Dayglow Pink has different shaped leaves than Pink Gem and Pink Gem appears to have a silver overlay on the leaves that Dayglow Pink does not have... This is Pink Gem http://davesgarden.com/guides/... and this is Dayglow Pink http://davesgarden.com/guides/...

I received a Dayglow pink last summer. It does have the little spot in the center on the leaves like Kathy's. Mine has not flowered yet. I am hoping that mine looks as nice as Kathy's.

Here is my Dayglow Pink

I think you're right Carolyn. Pink Gem is from the Strike it Rich series and I remember that Strike it Rich Gold was very similar to Lime Rickey. The only way I could tell them apart in the gardens was because the leaves of Lime Rickey were "rounder" and I think the same characteristic applies to Pink Gem vs Dayglow Pink.

I'm also not sure that my Tiarellas's Crowfeather survived the summer. There were so pretty.

Mine is under snow right now. I don't think it's ever had snow on it either lOL I hope it survives.

I got it at a coop several years ago, maybe longer.

I've never bought a pink gem , not even heard of it, I think I might have to get it though LOL

I do think the ground and growing conditions makes the leaves differ somewhat.

Hello! I love all heucheras! Thumbs up This tough little plant is a trooper, for I have moved it 4 times in the past 8 years. Now its happily in it's forever home! Not even sure of it's name. Any thoughts? The rest of my H kids are awaiting spring under icy, crusty snow (still)

I don't have a clue as to what type of heuchera you have in your photo. It is a very pretty one though.... Love the reddish tones. Do you know what color the flowers are?

Love your Id name. I see your ID and I can hear the Chickadees calling back and forth!

Whistling I love my Chickadees , they are here every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Amazing that I can't say with certainty just what color the flowers are! You'd think after this long, I would be able to! I'll have to wait awhile for them to wake up and bloom...

This one is from a co-op and I thought it had died and let the pot sit w/ a pile of other stuff that I thought I'd lost and then suddenly...this is what I see (after avoiding the cadaver pile of my dead plants for a while) Sticking tongue out

I believe it's Tiramisu or Miracle. Gotta find the tag Rolling my eyes.

This is the same heuch and the TB iris Indian Ceramics that I also thought was a lost cause which bloomed sort of from beneath the heuch. foliage--I had a fairly random stack of pots in the DOA pile Rolling my eyes.
