Another 'new to me' weed....I think I've been seeing this along the roadsides and now it's in my yard at the fenceline....Northwest California...

A weedy Polygonum... will try to supply a species.

Edit: Perhaps Polygonum lapathifolium, which is a native to California and parts of the US (and an introduced weed up here all across Canada... kind of unusual!):

While checking images, I thought perhaps lapathifolia also...thanks....
