I paid a visit to Kevin Vaughn's this past weekend. Here are a few photos of PCIs; some named and some seedlings. I didn't really keep track which was which. They were all beautiful!

I have to admit I have killed many of these irises. By the time I figured it out (I think) I had quit growing them. Maybe I will try a few again some day. They seemed easy to hybridize as I had done pollinations and grown them from seeds. But then I killed those too!

Hi Dee; sorry I didn't get names but many are seedlings. I checked my unedited photos and there weren't any labels I could read. You do need to acquire them later in the season. Aitken's ships in October and that is where I purchased all that I grew in the past.

Thing going OK here, mostly enjoying my two little grandchildren nowdays.

Don't get me hooked on these too...

I would recommend anyone trying these for the first to not go out and buy a whole bunch of them. Get one or two then make sure you get the knack to keep them alive.

Yeah, that's what I am thinking, but they are so beautiful, it might be worth the trial.

That blue and white in the top 3 photos is stunning! And so beautiful with the yellow.

I've got one I've 'managed' to keep alive here. It's a beauty. PCIs are some of the prettiest irises. Along with Louisianas, which are also not really hardy here.

Polly, I am about set on trying one or two here. Might be an exercise in futility, but if I succeed...
