Here is one of my heuchera beds. I am anxious to be out in the yard, digging in the dirt...

Hi Kay,

Nice to see you here again! Your gardens look so nice. And I love all the additions you've added - nice assortment. Do you know the name of the 1st one you posted? It looks like the leaves are pretty big.

Kay

Do you know what the others are as well? Your first one looks more like my Brownies than Melting Fire. In any event, they are all very nice and healthy looking plants!

The nursery tag says Melting Fire... maybe it's the light in my photo? then, the rest are: Amethyst Mist, Green Spice, Caramel, and Snow Angel. Big Grin

Hi Kay,

Oh your gardens are really nice. I always love the hosta and heuchera mix. Green Spice and Caramel are at the top of my list of favorites. I just bought a second Green Spice and want to pair two up with a dark one together - I'd like to get Obsidian. I really love Caramel (I have 8 of them, that's how much I love them) but have heard that Southern Comfort is similar in color only better and larger. I do have to agree with Carolyn about Melting Fire not being Melting Fire though, the tags must've gotten mixed up. Melting Fire's leaves redder, are smaller and more ruffled from what I remember. If it's any consolation, I had 3 and all three died and everyone else I've talked to theirs has either died or not doing well. Is it similar looking to the others in your garden pictures? My thought is either Palace Purple or like Carolyn said, Brownies. I've found with my Georgia Peach that it really doesn't like any amount of sun.

I know it isn't Palace Purple, as I have a bunch of them... but if it isn't Melting Fire, well that's alright. (it doesn't really look like a melting fire Sticking tongue out ) So perhaps it is Brownies it does have a chocolatey look to it!

I think you're better to have Brownies than Melting Fire, Brownies is a much tougher plant and, if you're anything like me, anything Chocolate is a good thing! YUM! Hilarious!

Also, I forgot to say that my Georgia Peach does not get much sun at all, so that's good! And, Green Spice just has to be my fav! I got 3 of them when I worked at a nursery in 2005, they have been relocated once and all are doing real well in their permanent home. There is just something about the pretty foliage that I just love! Caramel is new to me this year, and I really like the way they mix in with my other plants and are a nice contrast.
