Only a mother could love that plant and the baby's not much to write home about either. I'm not sure Jatropha growing is for me. None the less Ursula, I did detect a weak pulse this morning and watered that green stick.

Children and other assorted relatives are about to descend this evening and over the next several days. I just learned they have planned to extend their stays until late next week Group hug or Grumbling in order. I'll probably be scarce.

I have only a few houseplants, since we had a salt water well in VA. I did manage to keep 2 huge and very old (from 1980) orange clivias alive. They haven't bloomed for me though since
1995, when we moved to the coast. I am hopeful that this will be their year to return! I also have a yellow clivia and a giant antique jade plant that I inherited from my mom. When we had our house on the market the listing agent asked for more plants so I bought those stupid bowls with 6 tropicals in them, and of course they refuse to die!

Ha, ha!! Refused to die.... Rolling on the floor laughing
I am excited because I have 3 clivias and one is forming a bloom and it's either yellow or a rare peach. We shall see!

I rescued this agapanthus as a baby from our son's yard in California several years ago. It winters in the sunroom and spends its summers outdoors. I raised another plant from seed, and it produced one bloom this year, which has alredy faded. I do the reverse Johnny Appleseed thing -- bring seed and plants home and try to nurture them for my own enjoyment! Lovey dubby

Coleus cuttings rooted last fall and ready to go outside soon. Danger of frost isn't past until April 15 here.

I think my Amorphophallus rivieri wants to flower perhaps this year?
Jim, are you looking? What do you think?
I overwintered it in the garage and notice it now shooting up. It measures 19 inches.

My first epiphyllum opened today. I don't have an official name. The tag says Hot Pink.

Beautiful Kathy. Last summer, I bought 17 epi cuttings, and are anxious to see them bloom. I will have to wait awhile, but I am patient. In the meantime, I will have to enjoy all of your pix. Keep them coming.

Jean

I have buds on a bunch for the first time. Finally. I am one of those people who falls in love, collects madly and then realizes that I have to figure them out if any will bloom. Looks like I got better at this finally. This hot pink one usually blooms in March so I think they will all be late this year. I'm afraid to move them to more light because of previous bud blasts.
