This Sunday I was in 3 gardens in VT. Here are a few pics from Arlene Perkins garden. Here she is in her garden.

Her primroses are wonderful. She hybridizes.

She had many types of trillium too.

And these small lady slippers which are quite rare.

It sure was beautiful there!

I asked her for some of these blue sieboldiis which she dug for me.

Then an hour north to Phil Cook's.

I loved this podophyllum hexandrum in his woodsy garden so much that I bought it at Cady's Falls.

He has a display garden of MDBs (miniature dwarf bearded irises) and SDBs (standard dwarf bearded irises).

Double trillium grandiflorum.

I have one of these plants but he has a small forest of these huge beasts in the woods. I'll have to look at my tag for the name.

Crested irises. Iris cristata.

Primula japonicas were everywhere.

Podophyllum peltatum? Don't you love those huge stands of them? Like a forest of Umbrellas!
Beautiful Trillium too! And those pretty Primulas again....

Nope, hexandrum, pinky flower coming out the top. I have huge amts of peltatum here but this guy doesn't spread much. At Phil's they were here and there. We'll see what happens here....
