We spent the day at our place in Pennsy today. The leaves were down and we woke up to frost this morning! But the sun warmed things up a bit and it turned out to be a very nice day.

Looks like here! Love the imitation by Klaus and the clouds in the pond!

Btw the little plant is Goodyera pubescens, planted 10 years ago into the woods, (surrounded by a small wire cage) and still alive!

Maybe I should have planted mine in PA.....

I tried them around here, I always lost them. I planted them in Pennsy near a small group of Cypripedium acaule and they stayed alive but never bloomed again after the first year. But last Summer I fertilized them and they perked up a bit. Maybe they will bloom next Summer....

I know they are native in the south. Are they spreading at all?

I was hoping they would! They are native to NE PA.

Fingers xed for flowers next year!
