Kathy they are so stark and serene....but depressing,I'm sorry to say. This is why I moved from New England
winter is like the bad house guest that just doesn't know when to leave!
One of my camellias has suddenly decided to do something...it did absolutely nothing last year and look at it now!

I can enjoy this from my computer chair, it looks like it's got Christmas ornaments on it!

I'm afraid we are in the minority, Bill. What's your garden like in winter? You have such great "bones"! I would love to see pics.

i will have to look for a few pictures - lots of the "bones" have been eaten by deer this year. lost all buds on a couple small kousa dw's, hydrangea seem to be a delicacy, i do not think anything was not taste tested! partially my fault as i went out snow shoeing over the hill out back and created a super highway for them. has a herd of 24 out there a few weeks ago.

I hear a lot of MA deer are dying of starvation this year because of constant snow cover. Usually the grass comes through in southern exposure now and then but not this winter.

i wish the ones here were dying - they all looked pretty healthy!

This is a picture from earlier this year.

This is Euphorbia 'Diamond Frost'. It's a very good shade plant. I have the Master Gardeners coming here on the 5th of May so I need to get to work.
