Okay, something funky going on with my Indian Pink. It does have some taller stems with blossoms but the bottom foliage is all curly and funky. It seems to have gotten a lot of moisture this spring because I saw moss growing around the base. I haven't been able to see any insects so I have no idea what's going on. Anyone else ever see this?

Arlene, that looks like insect damage to me. Those dark speckles are probably feeding points of some sap-sucking critter. They may be long gone by now, but aphid damage would be my best guess.

I've not seen this on the back lot where this plant is growing naturally all over the place. Is it growing wild on it's own or are you cultivating it? I would not spray if it is growing naturally.

If you don't see any bugs now, they might have moved on to a more tender plant. I'd just check it every so often and see how it's doing; since it's a perennial, it should snap back just fine if/when the bugs are gone.
Very unlikely but always possible I guess. Our neighbor is gone most of the time and I don't see any other thing damaged. I've never seen him spray anything.. The bed is a property border though. I was thinking it was just too wet since that area gets runoff when it rains heavily.
