Hi,
Beautiful photo! The corydalis in it isn't Corydalis cheilanthifolia, though. If you compare to the photo below, you'll see that the leaf shape is very different on yours - rounded leaflets, as opposed to pointed, fern-like leaflets. As well, the flower colour on C. chelianthifolia is a strong yellow, rather than the subdued bicolour pattern on yours. I don't know offhand what yours is but I'll try to figure it out, unless you know.

I think your plant is likely Corydalis ophiocarpa:

Thank you for finding the name of my Corydalis. I've been all over the world but never the Himalayas. Now, if you could only tell me how this plant got in my garden? ♥

No, and most people growing Himalayan plants haven't been there. Big Grin But that begs the question... so, if it had actually been Corydalis cheilanthifolia, which is from China, should I assume that would mean you'd gone there and collected it yourself? Blinking Big Grin Just kidding... but seriously, it's a fairly common plant in cultivation, so I'd guess you bought it (mislabelled) somewhere. I dunno... you tell me?

Actually I have brought many plants from different countries but with todays custom's rules, seeds and plants with soil are taboo. However they do like tissue culture but only with the proper stamp from the botanical garden or nursery. I wish I was younger to travel with some of these plant hunter groups. Maybe in my next life. Thanks for your comments.

I find that most corydalis self seed easily. I've grown both of the varieties grown in this discussion and they both self seed (almost too profusely).

The seed probably came in with another plant you bought.
