The flowers don't look right for a Yucca. Perhaps it could be a type of Cordyline aka Cabbage Palm?
The plant and flower inflorescence shape look right for that. We can't grow them to maturity outdoors here so I don't know too much about them.

I don't know, danita...the flowers look right for sabal, but don't know about the fronds and trunk.......

Not Sabal, but Cordyline.... they share the common name of "Cabbage Palm."

Like Cordyline australis, Cordyline banksii, etc.

Yay! Yep, you're right....cordyline. Interesting that I've not grown that before. When in SoCal, I was finally starting to embrace the whole xeric thing and now here I am in the PNW...lol...

Even more interesting, danita....it's looks say 'yucca' and 'xeric' to me, but I see that it likes water...lol..it should like it here....
