I planted in fall of 2012 but it was puny 2013. This year it has three buds so am anxious to see what it looks like compared with pictures. Had several like that from Adelmans.

Peonies establish themselves the first spring, leap the second year and creep the third year. I always feel like any blossom the spring after that first year planting is a bonus. So just like any plant returning year after year, they only get better with time. Once they get going, wow, you will be amazed.
