Today I was at a neighbors house and her Iris' leaves were yellow and green. What type of Iris is this?

It's a form of I. pallida that has "variegated
leaves. Some are white/green, and some yellow/green....Arlyn

I have only seen lavender irises growing on the variegated foliage and sometimes after awhile the foliage would revert to green. Here is something interesting from Mid America Garden this year.

VARIEGATED WONDER (Black ‘14) Midseason-Late 40” (102cm) ‘Variegated Wonder’ is a sport of the Award of Merit winner ‘Wonders Never Cease’. It is a major advancement in form for variegated foliage TBs. The flower is exactly the same as ‘Wonders Never Cease’. It is also one of the most stable with very few green reversions since its appearance in the garden. Stalks are also variegated. It is fertile and has given a number of seedlings with variegated foliage and one with superbly formed variegated flowers. Amazing to get variegated foliage and flower together. Sdlg. sport of ‘Wonders Never Cease’ $55.00

Look up Wonders Never Cease. It is a lovely iris.

@Paul2032 ... I thought I finally got the names of the two variegated pallidas straightened out after getting confused over one of them being called "Zebra"... I'd been calling the green and yellow, 'Aurea Variegata' and the silver and cream, 'Argentea'. So I went to my Royal Hort dictionary. They list the two as: 'Aurea Variegata' (with 'Aurea' and 'Variegata' also used) and 'Argentea Variegata'.

@grannysgarden .. the yellow variegation is brightest when the foliage is fresh. It fades to creamy, but Argentea Var. is really silver/grey... If you've got the two, it's easy to see the difference... Nomenclature notwithstanding...
I've got an order in for 'Variegated Wonder'.... had to take a 2nd out on the house to pay for it nodding

'Aurea Variegata' (aka "Zebra") and 'Argentea Variegata'

I've got a couple of variegated foliage varieties on order from Blue J w/ different colored flowers. They've got a whole section of variegated foliage.. unfortunately, most are not for sale this year.
