I've tried to edit this S. chamaedryoides to add Electric Blue Sage to the common names list and remove it as the cultivar name but this is not allowed because S.chamaedryoides already exists. The plant in the photo was purchased as S. chamaedryoides "Electric Blue Sage" from Morningson Herb Farm in Vaccaville, CA. All other info, that I can find, for Electric Blue Sage indicates its another "Common Name" not a 'Cultivar' name. So If thats true the whole entry for that cultivar needs deletion(?) , the photo needs moving and several common names could be added to the S. chamaidryoides page. "Germander Sage" is there but "Blue Oak Sage"', "Mexican Blue Sage", "Electric Blue Sage" all seem apply as far as I can tell. Or I could be all wrong and need to amend the Hamilton Square database. Just looking for some clarity. I tip my hat to you.

Leslie,

I had Zuzu (ATP admin) delete the entry for S. chamaedryoides "Electric Blue Sage" in the database. She agreed with you that it's a common name.

I agree too, as I've never heard of Electric Blue Sage as a cultivar name before.

Sorry to get back to you so late, but I didn't read this until late last night, asked Zuzu to fix it and went to bed. Read her reply this morning.

Thanks for bringing it up, so we can keep the database correct. I tip my hat to you. Thumbs up

Thanks Marilyn. I like to keep my database correct too and I use ATP to double check the one I maintain for Hamilton Square Perennial Garden which was woefully out of date. ATP has and is an indispensable resource for me. Thank You!
