A lady at work asked me to ID this plant. It sort of looks like a Pride of Barbados, but the flower isn't exactly like mine. Any ideas?

Desert Bird of Paradise (Erythrostemon gilliesii)

While Kew doesn't accept the name, it can be found under Caesalpinia gilliesii.

Actually, I posted the answers as Caesalpinia gilliesii, because that's what I knew it as. Then when I was looking for a photo in the database, I realized that the name had been changed, so I edited the original post.

I suppose Kew has the final word, but I spent an hour looking for a photo before I went with Caesalpinia. Found tons of pics there.

I usually go by ITIS for North American plants.
