I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database!
I found in the database a plant that needs a photo (which I have a good one of). I tried to upload it last night and it didn't 'take'. I was wondering if there is a guideline on the photos. Do they have to be under a certain file size? The one I tried I believe was about 2mb. Either my server speed is too slow or the file is too big. Sorry, I'm way out of date on how things work here. Smiling

Also, is there a way to get notified of the raffles that a person can enter with their acorns?

Did it never appear at all? Or did it appear but not yet arrive in the database entry? If the latter, then it would be awaiting approval from a moderator. But if it never did appear, then you might try resizing it a little bit before uploading. 2MB should be fine but if you resize it you can get it down to 400K or so and it'll upload right up.

Thanks Dave, I realized my computer was acting slow in general, so I went in and ran a malware scan, a registry scan, and a general scan with my anti virus program. That seemed to make a big difference and things are running more smoothly now. I got to quit looking at cute animal video clips on Facebook, that and if it ever says get a free sample of something, I'm sure it's rigged to give you malware or something worse. No more clicks on anything cute or free! Free is not so Free after all !

I went to the database and found some plant listings with no photos and added mine. I hope they are nice additions for folks to see and who knows, maybe I'll earn enough acorns to grow an Oak tree, or at least a small twig ✿◠‿◠)

I don't know if I'll ever have enough to enter a raffle, but that would be fun. Is there a link to the raffle announcements?

Also if you subscribe to the weekly email newsletter, the raffles are mentioned at the top of the newsletter when they are going on.
