Here are three Sempervivum that I grow in a garden in the Drôme Provençale, France. They begin to make offsets after three years, although the conditions are harsh for them. Little soil, plenty of sunshine, heat and very little water ....

I really like my S. funckii. It is such a tough sempervivum, and handles our very wet winter/spring season with no problems.

You can see that the color of flowers and foliage is different. However, it is of the same species!
