Here is another mystery for all to help solve.
@banker07, we need your expertise on this one. I do find a Jovibarba 'Red Glory' by Andre Smits, but no reference for a Sempervivum 'Red Glory'.
@picklepuff and @Cahac, can you help with this mystery.

Here are photos of Andre Smits J. 'Red Glory'. http://sempervivum-liste.de/Jo...

Lynn I don't know about a Sempervivum 'Red Glory' - it can't be a cultivar from André Smits like the information in your database mentions;

That's what I thought, because Andre Smits 'Red Glory' is a heuffelii.

Cliff and Sandi, can you tell us where you got yours from? Maybe we can track down information on it.

I purchased my Red Glory from Norrh Hills about 5 years ago. I lost it this past winter.

Thank you Sandy. I changed the information in the database, removing Andre Smits as the hybridizer.

and here is a person from California selling this 1 in 2009. https://www.etsy.com/listing/3...

Hi Cliff. The etsy semp doesn't appear to be the same one that is in our database?

Sandi, can you contact Martha to see if she has a history on this one?

She just may not have time to respond right away. This is probably a really busy time of year for her.
Thank you for checking with her Sandi. Thumbs up

So I see that this conversation happened four years ago, but I'm wondering if we have any new information about Sempervivum 'Red Glory'. Where did it come from? Who hybridized it and was that in 1997?

And is anyone else still growing it?

Hi Annie, I removed the 1997. I really feel this is a case of miss naming. I am pretty sure that the source for this one was North Hills Nursery. I think we probably need to remove the photos to the general sempervivum entry and delete this entry from the database.

@Cahac is it okay with your if I move your two photos the the general Sempervivum entry? I will note on the photos that it was purchased as 'Red Glory'.

Annie, the entry has been removed from the database.
Again, thank you for revisiting this thread so it could be addressed. Group hug
