I have several Odd things happening this year, thought we could share some pictures of odd stuff going on. Weather related I'm sure.
I had 3 Royal Harlequin open on the same day with 4 falls and 4 standards, and 4 of all the internal parts. Wierd!

Then I had 2 Arthouse open on the same day with multiple falls, and only one or two standards, but some of the falls had Multiple beards.

NOID-en-stein's "good side!
Had lots of nice blooms on this plant for over a week, and the rest of the blooms on the clump(6-8) are fine! Doubt this one is weather, but maybe herbicide drift Shrug! ...Arlyn

I don't like weird iris traits, especially the double beards. I love bushy fat beards but not double ones. It has to be environmental stress.

Good thing you all have let me know this kind of stuff happens sometimes so I don't get all excited thinking aliens have caused plant mutations in my garden. Blinking Blinking Wow, those ARE some odd looking flowers.

I had weird goings-on with Vapor this year -- three falls, but only two standards. On several stalks. Other stalks were fine. It was fine last year. Think Bonnie's right -- environmental stress. I didn't take any pictures -- but I do have witnesses................... Rolling my eyes.

I posted this in the "beards" forum as well, but this is the first "oddity" I have ever found. It was on only one bloom and on one beard.

Well I did have four standards and falls on protocol and jewel baby got wild but she does not need much encouragement. Then there was Flat Broke that formed a bunch of little petal like standards and falls were not much bigger. I posted pics of Protocol but did not take pics of the others.

That's right, Tom! I attribute some of the screwy things I do to alien influences, so why NOT plants, too. Big Grin Hilarious! Hilarious!

Bonnie stole my thought - those garden gnomes messing around again. My first and last Footloose blooms were fine, but in the middle it bloomed with two falls and two open standards. I posted this before in the "ugly iris" thread but here it is:
Thumb of 2014-06-01/Lestv/dc7b87

I think the gnomes stole the third standard & fall to make rain hats!

Chardonnay and Ice has one with a double bearded fall, and other one has a fall that's half fall, and half standard. Very strange! I guess it has 2 1/2 falls and 2 1/2 standards! Rolling on the floor laughing

Similar strange stuff occurring here too! Keep yer garden gnomes under control people! Sticking tongue out

I guess it was from the weather cause I didn't spray anything on the fence weeds this year.

Four falls on Chinese Empress. Not that unusual in first blooms...
