Yeah, I know.... *just* a couple.....

I found 'Dancing Waves' in the HIPS photo gallery while just poking around... I only have one flattie right now, and thought this one looked beautiful. Couldn't find it among my "usual suspects" of growers.
I've had Cashmere on my wish list for a few years now, and been unable to find a source.
Has anyone run across either of these?

Well, I kind of felt a collective scratching of heads over this request, but it was worth a try.. Shrug!

Sherry, I have not run across either of these in my area. I hate it when an iris just seems to diminish and go away.

Cashmere, TB, 1959, Fay, is supposedly sold by BlueJ, Exline, Newburn, South Jersey Iris, Voss and Williamson.
Dancing Waves should be available at Mt. Pleasant Iris Farms.
Hope you can get some of each.

When you said "flattie" I wasn't thinking Japanese iris! Yes, Mt. Pleasant Iris Farms has Dancing Waves, and many other beautiful JA.

I don't know how I missed Blue J having 'Cashmere'... Should be easy to add to my order... I have not ordered from Mt. Pleasant, but will enjoy looking at their catalog, no doubt....

ok, so I can't remember where I saw 'Dancing Waves' now, but it must have been listed as a TB by mistake.. That's why I couldn't find it... I love Japanese Iris, but don't have a wet enough spot for them. Sad

Just in case you cave in and want to give them a try - Japanese iris are very successfully grown in pots, making it easy to keep their feet wet. They can grow in regular garden soil as well but you would need to mulch them and keep them watered. Smiling

It's more of a water situation here combined with the number of pots I already have.
