Brugmansia 'Short Standards'

Almost everyone likes “standards,” those nice straight tree brugs. Standards form well-shaped canopies and make a great display when they bloom. Unfortunately, not all plants want to grow in the shapes we like best.

With all the spider mites attacking, my brugs look tall and sparse, but recovering. I'm going to cut the tops off and make short standards. I wouldn't have known to take all the leaves off. Great article.
