Brugmansia 'Short Standards'

By gone2seed

Almost everyone likes “standards,” those nice straight tree brugs. Standards form well-shaped canopies and make a great display when they bloom. Unfortunately, not all plants want to grow in the shapes we like best.

I'm so glad you wrote this article, JT.
Since I have such a small piece of land for growing, I have to have small, short plants that I can reach for pollinating. I started making these smaller trees a few years ago, and have never looked back. They're easy to maintain in smaller containers, and they seem to put out more blooms than the in ground giants. I can reach them better for pollinating too.

I'm sure this is really going to help a lot of people...
Thanks!
