I started using the Carl Pool Hibiscus Food on all of my tropical hibiscus. Within a few weeks I started noticing that the leaves were becoming extremely glossy, like they've been waxed. In all my years of growing them I have never seen this before. The plants look exceedingly healthy, happy and putting on buds like crazy. It got me to thinking though, am I burning them out? Is the super gloss a waste product deposited on the leaves? Could I be over feeding them? Since the label said good for all hibiscus I tried some on my H. acetosella and the leaves have gone super glossy on that one as well.
Does anyone else use this food?
