I'm happy discussing any plants, any time.
Back when we had lots of water to spare, and fuchsia mites weren't a problem, I grew more of them. When I've had weddings here, I'll go to the wholesale nursery and buy some right out of the green houses at peak bloom. I've had some beautiful tree fuchsias that I usually give to someone in the wedding party. My garden is heavy on the spring bloom, so they add color through the summer. I probably lost several of the ones that I had in the ground from the drought this past year. I'd say that would be a shopping opportunity.

I love your attitude, Sherry -- instead of lamenting the losses, you celebrate the *shopping opportunity*!!! Thumbs up Big Grin

Oh my gosh, I have to have one. No I must get a Black Lightning for myself. I love all black color flowers so much. Especially Iris.... How do I get my hands on one???
Can someone help me out with a trade or postage and a magazine subscription for a year! Sell one etc maybe, just let me know.

I had a beautiful noid black or really really dark purple ones for 4 years and this summer lost all of them Crying This is what I lost this year and regret it so much.
Sighing!

Black suited was the blackest one I saw at Schreiner's display gardens. I ordered one last year for my daughter(her favorite color along with leopard print). It was described as vigorous, the rhizome I received had bunches of babies growing off it. I think I will order the SDB leopard print because of her from Mid-America this year. Black is black looks more modern though.
