Thanks, Rita!

Summer Wonder is a crab-apple with purple-ish leaves. I planted it in spring 2009, and it blooms prettily each year, but I'm not sure I've ever seen the blooms change to crab apples. But I'm ok with that. I just like how it looks in the side yard. Thumbs up

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Love it, and the fact that it doesn't make crab apples! Those things are so messy that I've refused to buy a crab apple tree. Love the blooms on them though. I'll have to check into this one!

These colors somehow remind me vividly of my grandmothers house (such tender memories) ... so beautiful together ... and a really peaceful scene! Lovey dubby

Thanks, everyone!

Natty, I'm not saying it DOESN"T make apples - I'm saying I've not seen any on it yet. Not quite the same thing. Hilarious! Of course, my other apple tree has gifted me with one apple a year ever since it's 2nd or 3rd year in my yard, so maybe this one really doesn't make apples. Shrug!

She's a purty tree... that's what matters most to me. nodding

Mary, that is why I'm going to check into it, just in case it really doesn't make apples. If it doesn't, and will be okay in my zone, I need one!

I also like the contrast of the blooms & the gray/green/purplish leaves. Very nice Mary! Thumbs up
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others.
