Debra, 'Grape Echo' is sending up a stalk now (having already bloomed once), will send more up in August, and again in October... It amazes me.... and smells like grapes too.

Rolling on the floor laughing OK, I get to add three! Rolling on the floor laughing I only chose from those that bloomed here this year.
You can't tempt me any more with that Samba Queen, cause I already have it ordered! I'm so hopeless! And excited.

I understand, Paul, that 10 can grow to 13, or 33 pretty easily ! It like asking ," Which one of your children is your favorite?!". You can walk by that iris a dozen times, over a dozen years, and then, that one time when the light is just right, and the bloom is just so,....and it reaches out and knocks your socks off!.....Arlyn

Since only 10 of my 22 new iris from 2013 bloomed this year, I thought I would be hard pressed to get to 10, but I have pulled a Spinal Tap because my list goes to 11!!! And to keep from boring you too much - I tried to use all new pics.
(Warning - I may be wordy)
My favorite is Owyhee Desert - the rascal is photogenic & sweet fragranced:

2-11 in no particular order:
Ninja Turtles - I just love this SBD - here it is first emerging from it's shell:
Thumb of 2014-06-10/Lestv/e73f69
And it has been the year of the Bumblebee Deelite- where I learned it has the trick of getting more interesting the longer it is open!

I often overlook World Premiere but it blooms like crazy and the blooms last a very long time:

Honorary Mentions:
Acoma - because with a bunch in bloom they look like clouds Thumb of 2014-06-11/Lestv/5c8d2e
And Frosted Velvet because I am just really fond of it. It suffered frost damage (ehem - no pun intended) this year and the standards have some purple mottling as a result).

My named ones were all planted last season, so not all of them bloomed this season. Out of the ones that bloomed, these were my favorites.

Marching Band
Ornage Joker
Shock and Awe
Paul Black
Sopra il Vulcano
Hello Darkness
Alpenview
In Your Dreams
Black Phantom
October Sky

I didn't take any photos of them this season, but I will as they they get settled in more.

The nice thing is we don't have to pick just one Debra!!! Hilarious!

Tom - you already have an order in with Schreiner's for Coal Seams so it will be easy to add Owyhee Desert. (enable enable enable.....) *wink wink nudge nudge*

Rob - great list, can't wait to see the pictures!! Looks like a good collection of dark iris in that group!
