Good new Lori - then it is just my rhizome with issues!

You said your Midnight Oil was growing & increasing well. Mine just isn't. I hoped it was just my plant and not the habit of Midnight Oil in general to be a slow grower.

It must be your plant for some reason. I will send you a piece of mine next year if you remind me. You have to remind me, I don't keep a list and I promise I will forget about it. I just took off a division to send to Bonnie so I don't have another to spare this year. I planted the one little rhizome in July of last year and it had two increases and bloomed so it is doing pretty well I would say.

Thank you, I will let you know. It is a beautiful bloom, and I had high hopes for it when I got mine.

Midnight Oil is slow here. Do you want an SDB? Sometimes gets a bit tall.

Lucy, I sure wish you would quit posting pictures of that one. I am going to have to hunt it down and buy it if you don't quit! Lovey dubby

I would love to get Black Lightning! Must find a vendor! Dwarfs do well down here and that one is spectacular!

Superstition Gardens in CA offers Black Lightning as well as Chuck Chapman in Canada (the Hybridizer of the iris). I don't have a photo of 'Bad Intentions' a black SDB from Mid-America.
