From today. Which insects could these be? I don't want to assume these are the eggs of a bad bug.

Yes, the eggs are on a Bidens, either pilosa or alba. They are very low on the plant in a shaded area which is usually dry.
I checked again today; no change.

I can't be sure but it could be a leaf-footed bug's eggs.

Acanthocephala eggs are vaguely triangular in cross-section

Thank You! I had done a quick check before I posted here the squash bug eggs were close. I will watch each day to see how the eggs change. I don't have any squash/pumpkins/cukes growing, but I do have the Horned melon. Will control the situation if these hatch into 'bad bugs'.

I will post later if I have more info.
