We have lost most of our commercial sources for Whiting Irises. Pink Clover, Aurora Dawn, Pathfinder for sure are no longer available commercially. Crepe Suzette and Harvest Moon are supposed to be at Newburns but that is most likely not a viable source any longer.
If anyone has Whiting irises tucked away in their gardens I am willing to pay for them or of course trade anything I have.
Thanks tons!

Aurora Dawn and Pathfinder may be at Bluebird Iris; Pink Clover may be at Superstition. Of course these places do not grow them extensively so they may not be available in each season.

Aurora Dawn is no longer available at Bluebird, dead and gone. Pathfinder is either dead or misplaced. Superstition got rid of Pink Clover at the end of last season and doesn't grow it anymore.
I have checked all of the commercial sources...dead ends for most of them. Sad Sad

I am not sure what these iris look like. Is there a source where I can go and check them out? Harvest Moon may be lurking in my backyard if it looks like I think it does.

Sorry - mine is more yellow. I notice there is one individual listed as supplying the photos. Is there anyway to ask him if he will share, for the sake of keeping it from extinction?

That was Carlos at Brighton Park and he lost all of his irises. He is just now starting to collect again so he no longer has it.

Remember, irises can look different in different locations and conditions. Does yours have a fragrance? Can you post a picture of it?

Lori - the last bloom went out with a storm we had on Tuesday. It was on my neighbor's side of the fence and she appears to have already deadheaded the bloom. Sad I can get you a pic next year, and hopefully also will have some of the rhizomes in my garden. I know that isn't much of a help now, but I will keep you in mind.

Sorry to hear Carlos lost all of his iris. That must have been a huge blow.

I believe he had a major rot problem, a few years ago. I think he's starting to get back into iris, now, after not having any for a few years....Arlyn http://brightonparkiris.com/
