Do they look like that already? I am so impressed.
Hope you are back to solid food quickly.
Here are some things I'm going to eat after mine are pulled next week.
Cream of Wheat and oatmeal, potato soup, maybe some New England Clam Chowder. Apple sauce, fruit smoothies, and my rendition of dream-cycle, Orange juice concentrate with ice cream. I'll let those cold things warm-up as yo not get "Brain Freeze". I swear a brain freeze affected my taste buds in 2005.
Take your meds! Pain is pain. Do they want you not to drink through a straw for a while?
Praying for the speediest recovery.

No straws no anything. You would not believe how hard it is to not chew, I find myself trying to chew Applesauce..Sheez this is going to be a long healing process.
I have found anything with size causes my brain to think I am gonna choke so I can't swallow,I tried mac and cheese.. Boy that was not fun.. Grumbling
so far soup and mashed creamy potatoes are the only thing that are manageable.. I am dreading the swelling to go down, They told at the drs. that once all the swellin goes down (swollen from my eyes down) that the real pain will kick in..

Your blender or food processor can make just about anything into mush. Kind of like making baby food. At least you'd have some different flavors to choose from.

I hope you are over this pain soon. Sending healing thoughts and prayers your way.

Janet

Pheadra,
I am so glad you are on solids. Didn't Joe's have any good alternatives?
Hope you get that first adjustment quickly as that is one real aggravating 'RUB'.
Hugs, Sidney

Glad you're feeling better. Now I'd probably find a way to consume good seafood even if my jaws were wired shut. I love good seafood. I'm not good at cooking it. I don't like most fish that I make. But I love it at a good restaurant.

Pheadra doesn't care for sea food which I found out when I took them to a Jacksonville landmark, Clark's Fish Camp. It is somewhat of a wildlife, platter, and natural wood furniture museum.
It was the 4th of July two years ago and Collier's BD.

OMG she doesn't like seafood???? Has she ever had coconut shrimp at Out Back. I start drooling just thinking about it. A good Shirley made gumbo cannot be beat.lol and fried shrimp are fantastic to say nothing of stuffed flounder and Sandy makes great crawfish pie and oyster patties, and on and on. Pheadra have your taste buds checked. love ya shirleyt

Shirley, I'm not quite sure where Pearl River is, but if you keep talking about all that wonderful food, you'll find me in your driveway. Rolling on the floor laughing And seafood in Louisiana is not the same as anywhere else. When we went to Arkansas , we went to a very nice restaurant. We ordered a seafood platter. We were stunned when they brought us what looked like a TV dinner. And when I went to the Destin Area in Florida, with my sister. Again, we went out for a seafood buffet. What a mess. And what is a snow crab anyway? And scallops? No, our seafood is not like others. So I can clearly see why she may not like it. Have you ever been to Pat's in Henderson? When you and I talk about seafood platter, we mean Étouffée, fried shrimp , oysters, stuffed crabs, fried crab fingers Oh dear, I am making myself very hungry. LOL

Debbie Pearl River is on the North Shore across the lake from NO. a few miles from Slidell. I live another ten further into the countryside, not in the small town of PR but my post office is there thus my address. And yes yes yes, I have been to Pat's many times. It was a regular stop on our way to Grand Coteau Basketball camps back in the day. Have not been that way recently but it would definitely be the place to stop for food. PP always had to have oysters at the bar while we waited for our table. It was his thing. Those were the days. shirleyt

OK guys, I could just blow the diet for sure listening to you all. Probably my most favorite place to eat in the whole world is La.. Before Katrina we came down there at least twice a year, just to eat. I will never forget my first meal. Barbecued shrimp and fried catfish with crawfish ettouffe. A Dixie beer on the side. I knew then I had died and gone to heaven. We would spend a week on each trip and eat our way around the state. I have eaten all over the world and never had better food that in La. Never, nowhere. Just when we were thinking of coming down again, another mess has descended on you. It is just not fair. Good people deserve better than that.

Oh yeah and then there is Muffaletta....I'm going to short out my keyboard with drool. Drooling

Rolling on the floor laughing Juanita, no spittle on the keyboard please. When I had my shop in Baton Rouge, they had a restaurant across the street that served fried catfish with crawfish ettoufee every Friday. After we had lunch, everyone was ready to go home for a nap. Good , good food.

Bwahahaha,
As I told y'all earlier, Tobee43 has returned to DG. She was very active in 2006 and a hoot on top of that.
She definitely has now come on over to Cubits!!! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!
I am planning on having a RU here sometime later, like in Sept after everyone is healed and God has turned down the heat in the Sauna.
Please make Tobee at home, She's just gone from Zone 5 to Zone10.
She's a doll.
Sidney
