Thankyou. Some of the tags faded to where I simply cannot make out what they say. Tomorrow I am going to buy a labeler and label everything with a tag that I will be able to read 5 years from now. Karen M

Karen, I commiserate with you on faded tags. (Needless to say, I am not always quick to plant things, and sometime later when I take the plant out of the soaking tub... Then there are also the tags that fall of the plant before you can get it planted.)

Whatever it is, it's a lovely daylily. (Sorry that I can't help with an ID!)
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom

Thanks for all the input. I will watch the rest of the blooms on this. I found my list of daylilies I bought in 2010 where I wrote it and emailed it to myself and saved in in my mail folder for daylilys. I think it must be Madness To See. The eye is a bit different but then it is a first bloom so it may change. My list gave me a place to start anyway. I also have the parent, " Moonstruck Madness" could be that one also. Not going to label it but at least I may have a clue now. Karen M

I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Plant Identifier
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Madness to See')

I have seen madness to see and I do not think your noid is that. first year blooms can look really different sometimes, but I just don't think it is even close. Too red in the eye and not shaped the same.

Thanks, Frillylily. There are probably 5 or so that I cannot read tags, Got a new labeler so will label all that still have a readable tag in them. Thanks to you guys I have renewed the thrill of daylilies and have about 15 new ones newly potted up and 30 seedlings coming up from very toothy crosses. I have quite a few seedlings that may bloom this year, I have them in the greenhouse. Karen M.
