I want to prune back my Wisteria vine. It is about 23yrs. old now and flowers like crazy, but I need to cut it back to make space for small building. I usually prune it in July/Aug lightly to control and another prune in spring.
If I prune it now hard. Do you think it will kill it?

Well... after 23 years ...I bet you couldn't kill it with a cement truck..

I pruned one recently with a spade from an area I didn't want it. What a job and it was only about 6 years old.
