In the many years I've had Oddity, it has never bloomed. Many times it has produced normal looking, flat-leafed rosettes that seem to grow in a normal fashion for about a year. Then the leaves turn into the tube form of oddity.

Yet you are showing flowers in a couple of photos above? Does it bloom occasionally, or were these accidental postings? Just curious... mine has never produced flowers - seems it is too grossly distorted to do so. On the other hand, this is sort of a good thing with Sempervivum - no dead rosettes to leaves gaps the following year! Smiling

Hi Lori. I have had this colony for many years, and it never bloomed until last year. One of the rosettes went from tubed leaves to mostly flat leaves, then started to go back to tube shaped leaves again. Then that rosette started to bloom. All the bloom photos are of the one bloom stalk, just different days and angles. Most of the pollen did not appear to be viable pollen.
I did get a few seedlings from a cross with Red Lion, but not sure if they will be worth keeping around. Right now they are just 3 tiny green seedlings, no color or tubing showing. Sad
