Nicely composed and exposed. A beautiful picture of a beautiful iris.

I agree A beautiful photo. I ordered a few from Mt. Pleasant last year, including FP. They arrived late summer so I thought I'd grow them on in pots. What a mistake! I lost 6, only 3 survived the winter. I'm running about two weeks late here, nothing has shown up yet.

Are you still working with these Connie?

Yes and I am having a pretty good JI season here which is almost over. Twenty two new seedlings bloomed of which there are definitely a few keepers. I badly need to divide this fall so if you want some of my extras I can send them. We can arrange through tree mail.

Glad to hear your season has been going well and I'd love to see some pics of your seedlings. Are you working mostly Tets?

Yes, I am still "trying" to work with tets. There are not many choices out to to use as parents. The weather has not cooperated, unfortunately this season. I can only hope to get some seeds. My twenty two seedlings are all diploids, the result of testing some old seeds I had stashed in the fridge. I didn't expect much from them so getting a few nice ones made my day when they opened Smiling .

I'll start a new thread on the iris forum to show off my seedlings. I like getting input/evaluation from the peanut gallery.

I guess what's good for the plants gets in the way of pollen daubing. I'll keep a lookout for your thread.
