Alice's husband commissioned Connie and I to create a Coleus Mama for Alice for her birthday (yesterday). Connie and I spent 5 full days working on this creation.

Well I see that the birthday was celebrated within another thread and I'm a day late and a dollar short.... story of my life!

Hi Janet,
the weather here has been so extremely rainy and bad for the recent few days so we had to cancel and postpone my big party a few weeks. The party will be held in 3 weeks from now... the weather are usually better in July.

Yesterday: the Coleus Mama was npacked, assembled and revealed during a short break in the rain, we could actually be outdoors for 15 minutes!!! Only DH and I were present, but we had great fun! We assembled the Coleus mama and took some pics as promised. Now you can see your creation in a far, foreign country :)))

Of course our sleepy cat had to come tumbling down from upstairs to see what was going on... Janne is opening the box with the Coleus Mama.

A short pause in the rain made it possible for us to be outdoors and hastily put the Mama in her pot and plant a few coleus around her! Here, she and I meet for the first time!

Love at first sight! The Coleus Mama and I are look-alikes - posing in front of the camera! It starts to rain again now....

DH has now fallen in love with another woman :)))

This is where she will spend most of her time, in a blue pot in one of my coleus beds .... during winter she will be indoors with us....

The Coleus Mama is happily waving to her creators Janet and Connie!
She has settled in her new home and looks very happy!

In 3 weeks from now she will be presented for our friends and family at the belayed birthday party, more photos will follow then!

Utterly amazing girls!! What a masterpiece. Alice she is just as gorgeous as you are. What a spectacular gift. Another reason to come to Sweden.
