this is the only Arach i have been able to grow here in Va and it is really touchy at that. Grows like crazy in fall thru spring then starts to die off in summer heat even when i give it shade.

How pretty, Cliff! Mine haven't gone through a summer in my garden yet so it will be interesting to see how they do. Our summers are usually moderate with few days over 90. But it has been awhile since we have had a real hot one and I am thinking we are due for one. My Cebenense will be in shade from about 3:00 on.

looks like you have a pretty good green thumb too Cliff. Nice plant.
I don't lose any plants from the heat unless the soil is wet. Seems like the sun then just cooks em.

Yours should be fine Connie. I don't think it's the heat, Bob, It's only been in the 90's for last week or so, but we've also been getting rain storms between 2 and 4 everyday for last week and then the sun is back out. They actually cook when they are wet.. It's like being in a sweat tank . But it's to be expected, Once you get east of the Blue Ridge heading towards Washington, they've cut down at least 95% of the trees all the way to the Chesapeake Bay in last 40 years. It's All concrete. : Thumbs down Thumbs down Thumbs down

Here's my Cebenense. It is in an area that does not get a lot of direct sun.
